I am Ximenna Castillo, a self-taught artist born in Peru and currently living in Canada. Since I was a child, art has been my refuge, my language, and my passion. Painting has been a constant in my life, a way to connect with the world and express emotions that go beyond words.
Through my paintings, I seek more than just creating images: I want to positively impact people's lives, transmit happiness, and remind us of the beauty that surrounds us, even in the simplest moments. Each brushstroke is an invitation to pause, reflect, and find light and warmth in the everyday.
My work combines traditional techniques with a modern approach, primarily focusing on portraits that capture not just the appearance, but the essence of my subjects. My goal is for each piece to inspire and create deep connections, becoming a source of joy and meaning for those who view them.
